The only game of the night, Toms River East at Toms River North was so cold that one of our photographers got frostbite on his left pinky.

Gus Ottoson

If you're a football fan, you have to love this player.  Like the two-way players of old, Ottoson played fullback and defensive line for Central.  He even kicked the field goals!

Middletown North shutting down Neptune

In a resurgent effort for the Lions, Middletown North shut down Neptune's high powered offense on October 6th and won 12-0.

Keyport

Without question they are the loudest and craziest fans in the Shore Conference.  They're not afraid to tell you how they feel.

Pinelands

If you've heard him play, then you know what it feels like to have your rib cage vibrate.

Brett Hardie

Hardie stepped in at quarterback when Toms River South's starter went down early in the season.  He adjusted and kept his team in every game all season long.  He's the type of kid who'd enjoy wearing a leather helmet to play.

Brick Memorial

The Mustangs like to rock the house while they warm up.  Give coach Sprengel another year or two and they'll be rocking their opponents as well.

Ocean

You have to love the black skull flag.  These guys are like a bunch of pirates with the flags, face-paint and tattoos.  Even their mascot went bare-chested in freezing temperature in their State Final game against Long Branch.

Middletown South fan

This guy has been attending Middletown South and Middletown Pop Warner games for years.  He's about as big a fan as you'd find anywhere in the Shore Conference.

Toms River North

There are some other great rocks in the Shore Conference, but none are as big or as storied as this one.

Matawan

Matawan finished the season strong thanks to a great second-half of the season performance, including a victory over then-undefeated Wall.

Manasquan vs. Somerville

Manasquan dug in and shut down Somerville's high-octane offense to bring home their third state title in a row.

Frank Edgerly, RBC

 He is the Steve Spurrier of the Shore Conference.

Shane Kochon, SJV vs. Raritan

 Kochon scored five touchdowns, ran for 253 yards, had two interceptions and kicked 4 extra points against Raritan in week 9.

Monsignor Donovan

Come running out of this tunnel and you'll feel like you're playing a college game. The Griffins like to wait a bit and get crazy in there before storming out to play.

Shore Regional

Finished 8-2 and would have done some damage in the playoffs.

Coach Nani after his Mariners defeated Toms River South to gain entrance to the playoffs.

Billy Lyons, Middletown North

Ran for 200 yards and a couple scores over Howell in Week Two.  Lyons, a sophomore, finished the season with over 1500 yards and 14 TDs.
